CIRCULATION OF MATERIALS

I. Loan periods
  All materials, except DVDs, magazines, and specially marked books, may be renewed 3 times unless there is an outstanding request for the material, or if the borrower has fines or overdue materials in excess of $3.00. II. Maximum per card is 60 items. 5 fiction and 5 non-fiction DVDs may be checked out at a time.
     
III Overdue materials
  A. An item becomes overdue unless returned to the library by the date due.
  B. A courtesy phone call will be made when an item is 5 days overdue. Another call will be made if the material is not returned in 10 days.
  C. When an item is 30 days overdue, the cardholder will be billed for the replacement cost of the material. If the material is returned, the replacement cost will be changed to the appropriate fine amount.
  D. Borrowers who have fines or non-returned items totaling $25.00 will be turned over to Unique National Collections after 30 days. Borrowers who are turned over to Unique National Collections will be charged a $10.00 collection fee in addition to any fines owed.

IV. Fines (daily fine per item for overdue materials).

  • $.10 children's materials
  • $1.00 interlibrary loan

Borrowing privileges will be temporarily suspended when fines exceed $3.00.
